Moving Companies
Anyone have any experience with moving companies in the area? We are entertaining the idea of using one when we move to our new place. Feel free to let me know here or e-mail me at chatt_rent [at] yahoo [dot] com.

The last time we moved we used 2 men and a truck. We just had them move the big stuff. I'm sure you could find a better price. They were okay. I have no glowing remarks for them, but nothing negative either. They did move our stuff and there was no real damage done. I would use them again.
Is it a long distance move? My husband and I used Penske for long distance (Harrisburg, PA to Pittsburgh, PA to Chatt) and it was great because they didn't charge us extra for extra mileage, like UHaul does.
We used the Public Storage moving van for an intown move, too, and I've really enjoyed working with the PS people. they're really nice and friendly. And their truck was clean--so was Penske's--while a UHaul we reserved was 1) not where we reserved it and 2)once we got one, it was dirty. (In other words, I hate UHaul.)
