The Idea of "Free Pet to a Good Home"
With a Chattanooga Craigslist firmly planted, I've renewed my love of Atlanta Craigslist, too. Unfortunately, with this, comes the realization that there are people who are either really naive, or just plain don't care about their animals.
The cold, hard truth is that people are cruel. While some responsible pet owners genuinely cherish their pets, there are other folks who enjoy animal torture or mutilation. These people generally prey upon people who submit an ad in the newspaper or online classifieds and offer their pets up for free. There are also some people who, for whatever reason, neglect their animals by refusing to provide them adequate food, shelter, and water.
