Questions About Prayer
Without going into specific details or attempting to sway opinion one way or another, I'll go straight to the questions:
How do you feel about praying with your family, wife, loved ones, church, kids, etc.? Does praying as a church impact your or other's prayers positively or negatively? Are we instructed by God or Jesus to pray with others, specifically, our family? The questions could go on and on. What kind of thoughts do you have concerning the following Bible verse?
Matthew 6:5-6 (King James Version)
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

I think prayer is a decieving word... I think what God wants from us in prayer is more about us knowing who we are in relationship to God. We are not God and this confussion is cleared up more frequently when we pray and awknowledge who God is and what that means...
