Day 1 - First Night Alone; So Emo
So, the fiance had to go overseas for three weeks. He'll return towards the end of October, just in time for the Halloween festivities. I imagine in our new apartment complex, there are quite a lot of trick-or-treaters.
At any rate, I dropped him off this morning at Express Shuttle so that he could ride to the Atlanta Airport. Normally, he flies out of Chattanooga, but this time, the arrangements were made for him to take the shuttle and then fly from Atlanta. He will be in flight for almost 24 hours. I don't envy him, as I'm scared of heights.
Today dragged on. It's surprisingly that I've been with someone for almost eight years, yet still miss them horribly within hours of them being gone (considering that there are a great deal of folks who aren't even married as long we've been together). This happens even when I go to work, so I can't imagine how I'll make it through the next few weeks. I tried to spend most of my day sleeping (a great trick to pass the time away), but it didn't work as well as I had planned.
When I woke up, I decided to go to Best Buy so that I could nurse Six Feet Under DVD's all weekend (season 4). I also picked up Unforgiven, since we're watching it in my Cinema class and I'll need it to write my upcoming paper.
I haven't cried, yet. The world is too sad to cry over something so selfish. I imagine that I will forget that, though, and cry sometime in the next couple of days. I'm such a big baby.
I miss you, sweetie. Stay safe.
